In the movie Blood Diamond, rhetoric is applied through the use of pathos in order to evoke an emotional reaction in the viewers to potentially inform the public about blood diamond’s history in Africa and, hopefully, by informing the public through this film, diamond consumers will cease to purchase blood diamonds.

I think you should use other appeals besides just pathos. Logos would definitely apply to this movie through some historical facts which would be good to include. Instead of specifically referring to pathos, just refer to the fact that it uses rhetorical appeals in general. Also try to rearrange some of the words to make the thesis flow better.
