When composing a paper, you should refer to the following rules to avoid plagiarism:

• always cite the source of information
• don't copy and paste
• write based on your own ideas and choice of vocabulary when paraphrasing
• don't make up facts
• use quotations when quoting a source
• provide documentation when using media sources
• make sure information presented is accurate and relevant
• don't change idea of original speaker when paraphrasing
• don't misinterpret information/ideas found
• don't have someone else write the paper
