1. My research topic that I chose is dress code in High Schools. I will examine the pros and cons of uniforms in Private Schools versus the sloppy dress code of Public High Schools. The uniforms of Private Schools show the tight administration and disciplinary policies of these schools, whereas the dress codes of Public schools show the lack of concern for discipline. Some say that the way students dress reflects the way in which they will learn and their desire to learn.
2. As a source, I will use the library and find journal articles that address the issue of dress codes and uniforms. I will take information from my own knowledge of this topic. I wore uniforms for five years out of my education. I will discuss the observations i made through this time. I will take information from valid online sources to find the research others have done about the learning of students and how it is connected to their learning process. I will use interviews from people and learn about their opinions and the data they have found to back up their opinions.
3. I will find obstacles in the amount of research information that I will be able to find. It will be difficult to find book sources to back up the information that I find.

1. Your thesis is strong, but it does not give enough detail as to where you are planning to head. Try to be more specific with your ideas. Some other sources you could use could be would be recent interviews in the media, and articles found using a database containing views of both students, teachers, and parents to find various opinions on the subject. There should be more information on your topic if you search articles in a data base and media interviews due to recent movements away from uniforms in schools.
