Observation 4

With changing economic times, the media has historically portrayed Batman as the greatest superhero in order to inspire. The reflection of Batman as the greatest superhero comes directly from the media, and using Batman's own morality as his greatest attribute to hold over all the other superhero's persona.

For my primary sources, I intend to use actual movies produced in the United States and compare them to the recent economic times. I shall do this by analyzing the movies, and then obtaining journals and newspapers from past times and finding their compatibility. I will also use journals analyzing the character of Batman, and past research in articles published about batman and his role in American History. I will use online articles written by the writers for DC comics, who publish over half of the superhero comics which includes Batman. These articles will be one of my largest resources as I can combine the actual comics Batman has been in, and compare his image to the reflections of the writers.

Some of the major difficulties I will be facing is the amount of interest in the topic, as not much research has been composed about Batman's image and reflection of the media and our economic times. A lot of polarized opinions may also come into play as I begin research for the topic, as many people have their favorite superhero and may not be inclined to write about Batman and his dominate role in American society.
