1. I am doing my research paper on how more and more films in current day have an underlying goal of convincing the audience to be environmentally conscious. A tentative thesis is: Due to the controversial topic of humans inflicting harm on the environment, current films are putting an underlying emphasis on being environmentally conscious.
2. The sources that I intend to use are the movies themselves, such as Wall-E, The Happening, and The Day the Earth Stood Still. I also plan to use articles written on these movies, such as movie reviews. I will research scholarly articles on the growing environmental crisis.
3. Some obstacles might be that these movies are relatively new, so there might not be a lot of information on them.

I think your thesis and sources are very good and I think your paper is actually going to be interesting, which is rarely true of essays in my experience. The sources are relatively new, but I think that's a good thing because they are fresh in people's memories. In your thesis, you might want to consider saying something about WHY film studios are greenlighting so many films with an environmentalistic undertone. Good job overall.
